Privacy Policy
The short version
Everything you make stays on your device. Stop Motion Animator Cam has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no advertising. Nothing you capture, import, record, or export is ever uploaded anywhere.
Camera and microphone
The app asks for camera access so you can capture frames from a webcam, and for microphone access only when you press Record voice-over. Video and audio are processed entirely inside the app on your computer. You can revoke either permission at any time in your browser or Windows privacy settings; the app keeps working for importing photos.
What is stored, and where
- Projects, captured frames, imported photos, and voice-over recordings are stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB storage for this app.
- A single local setting records whether the Pro upgrade is active.
- Exported movies, GIFs, and image sequences are saved to the folder you choose (normally Downloads).
Deleting a project inside the app permanently removes its frames from local storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing site data removes everything.
What is not collected
No personal information, usage statistics, crash reports, device identifiers, or location data are collected or transmitted. The app works fully offline.
Purchases
If you buy the Pro upgrade through the Microsoft Store, the transaction is handled by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. The app only receives a yes/no entitlement.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data and has no online features, there is nothing for a child to share or for us to receive.
Changes and contact
